Synaxon User meeting success

Synaxon held their first user meeting on Tuesday and it was a great success.

The day was split in two sessions with the first session attended by those original takers of the EGIS eCom solution and giving them the opportunity to feedback their experiences to owners of Evolution, the providers of the eCom solution and it gave Synaxon and Evolution to listen to our dealers needs from the store and we both took some great ideas away from the meeting and have agreed that we’ll be running thee meetings on a quarterly basis so was the success.

With dealers travelling from all over the country, all that attended said that it was very worthwhile and were extremely happy they made the journey.

With the afternoon meeting for our members that wanted to learn more about Synaxon and the EGIS eCom solution we had a great attendance and all dealers left the meeting with ideas and with a far greater understanding of what Synaxon are doing haw we can help our dealers whether it’s with the great marketing package we can offer, the technical services that we offer to help make their back office systems more efficient or the complete webstore package there was something that was of great interest for all of our dealers.

This was the fist of many of our meetings and we’re working tirelessly to bring you systems to help make you’re business run faster and stronger.

With the launch of the EGIS eCom one of dealers explained how he launched the site just 7 weeks ago and is already experiencing sales of in excess of £25,000 from the store alone.

Some of the other dealers who aren’t taking advantage of our upgraded membership have all registered their interests and they all agree that it’s a great offering for the benefits that it will bring to their business and one dealer that is trailing the offering told us how he was told that on one order the distributor told him that he has saved over £60 just by being an upgraded member, add to this the rebate that he could earn he said that he’s very happy with the service.

Synaxon UK continues to invest by appointing Andrew Wygladala as UK Vendor Channel Manager

Leading IT channel dealer group, Synaxon, has made a significant investment in driving additional value for its supplier partners with the appointment of Andrew Wygladala as UK Vendor Channel Manager.

Wygladala has 20 years of experience working in the IT channel having been one of the very first employees to join Dabs, where he spent a total of 14 years in a variety of key roles during its most rapid periods of growth. Over the past six years, ‘Wizzy’ as he is known to many in IT vendor and distributor companies, has worked for a number of reseller businesses in consultative roles and also returned to DABS for a short period following the company’s takeover by BT.

At Synaxon he will be responsible for ensuring that vendors receive outstanding value and tangible return on investment from their partnership with the organisation. He will work closely with suppliers to ensure they can take full advantage of the Synaxon’s pro-active marketing campaigns and thus drive higher levels of product and brand awareness and generate new business leads.

Synaxon members see their profits boosted by EGIS rebate scheme

Members of the Synaxon dealer group for the IT and office products channel are starting to see additional benefits in the form of direct rebates, which are now being paid by the organisation on reseller spend through the EGIS online system.

Individual Synaxon member partners (EGIS users) are making use of the system to ensure that they get the very best stock availability and pricing from Synaxon partner distributors and place and manage their orders, on a daily basis. As a result they are accruing significant amounts of loyalty rebate from spending with Synaxon participating IT channel suppliers. Ingram Micro, Enta Technology and Beta Distribution are all returning rebates to Synaxon member partners whilst Spicer from the office products sector has also now confirmed that they will be accruing loyalty rebates to be returned to Synaxon members operating in office products sector.

Bradford reseller Hi-Tec is one of the members that has benefited from the scheme. Paul Rhodes, Director of Hi-Tec says: “We’re delighted with EGIS and delighted with the rebates, we have just returned almost £1000 for quarter one and we fully expect this to grow in quarter 2 & 3. This additional reward goes straight onto the bottom line, boosting our profitability and making it easier for us to run our business and concentrate on looking after our customers. Synaxon adds VIP to line-up of distributors

Leading IT and office products dealer group, Synaxon UK, has added VIP Computers,  one of the  UK’s leading independent distributors of computer components and peripherals, to its line-up of distributor partners.

With immediate effect, Synaxon members will have access to real-time pricing and availability data, and be able to place orders for the full range of products stocked by VIP from leading vendors such as AMD, ASUS, Intel, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Seagate, WD, Palit, Thermaltake, Antec and many others, through Synaxon’s EGIS  information and procurement platform.

The agreement further enhances the appeal of Synaxon membership and the value of the EGIS platform, which is rapidly becoming an indispensible tool for resellers looking to ensure that they deliver the very best services, choice and value to their customers. For VIP it provides improved visibility and easier access to its stock for Synaxon’s   654 dealer partners  .

Synaxon prepares to take reseller recruitment to the next level

Dealer group launches EGIS-Ecom service and announces plans to expand its membership significantly at Channel Expo 2010

Synaxon is using it’s first outing at Channel Expo as the launch-pad for the next phase in its growth plans. With 635 members, Synaxon is already established as the leading dealer group for the IT and office products sectors, and is using the trade event in London this week to launch its new EGIS-Ecom service and highlight the benefits of membership for resellers and dealers.

EGIS-Ecom is a unique service that enables its members to compete for large-scale private and public sector IT procurement contracts. It will be officially launched and demonstrated publicly for the first time at Channel Expo. Response from current members to the initial announcement has been exceptionally positive with a number of resellers placing advanced orders for the service.

Synaxon will also be highlighting some of the other benefits that membership brings at the show.  Recent initiatives include the signing of a special agreement with Johnson Reed, one of the UK’s leading providers of lease financing for IT, which has already resulted in one Synaxon member securing a £30,000 order that it would not have been able to finance otherwise.   Synaxon will also be providing resellers with further incentives to join or to upgrade their membership, including a one-month trail of Premier Partner status for existing members and special offers on a range of the additional services it offers.

EGIS Ecom has been designed specifically to meet the varying and often stringent demands of corporate IT buyers for products choice, instant availability and automated online ordering. It provides the reseller with a simple and cost-effective way to meet customer requirements without making major up-front investments in subscriptions to data services and integration with distributor back-end systems. 

Fully automated, end-to-end order processing and delivery options enable resellers to provide the very highest levels of service to their customers. Orders placed on the reseller’s own website can be set to trigger delivery direct from the distributor’s warehouse, ensuring the customer will receive the products next-day in almost every instance. SYNAXON SALES WITH INGRAM MICRO HIT £2 MILLION IN MARCH

Synaxon UK calls on the channel to come and see what it can offer at Channel Expo

Synaxon UK has reported that monthly sales to its members via Ingram Micro hit £2 million for the first time in March. The figure represents a significant milestone and comes just over one year after the distributor first started working with Synaxon in the UK.   This growth is  a clear indication that the Synaxon model and its EGIS online system is now firmly established and delivering excellent results  for its  partners in all sectors, distributors, vendors and resellers.

Synaxon is now calling on more IT resellers and office products dealers to visit its stand at the forthcoming Channel Expo event at London Olympia on 12th and 13th May, to find out exactly what Synaxon and the EGIS platform can do for them.

Synaxon adds further experience to its team

Synaxon UK has added further strength to its team with the appointment of Chris Butterworth as Head of Purchasing. He brings more than 10 years of experience in building relationships and business development in the IT and office supplies sectors.

Butterworth has joined Synaxon from Office Depot International, where he spent two years as UK Manager of the Tech Depot online operation, having previously spent time at PC World Business, Dabs.com and Makro. He has taken immediate responsibility for the management and development of relationships between Synaxon UK and its distributor partners.  

Commenting on his new role, Butterworth says: “I have joined Synaxon UK at a very exciting time, with the business experiencing good levels of growth. It is vitally important to ensure that our distribution partners can maximise all the opportunities that the unique Synaxon channel services model can deliver to them. I’ll be aiming to make sure that they are aware of those benefits and how to exploit them to their full potential.”

Synaxon UK how has seven full time employees and the steady expansion of the team is mirroring the organisation’s growth, says Jones. “We now have more than 620 reseller and dealer members and the level of business that is being placed through our EGIS online system is growing very significantly month on month. Compared with a year ago, our numbers are up 300 percent and that’s been achieved against the backdrop of a severe economic downturn.”

Jones called on distributors that have not yet explored the potential of working with Synaxon to do so. “When we set up EGIS in the UK early last year, some distributors were sceptical about what the potential advantages of working with us would be. We have now demonstrated that those benefits are very real and tangible. Synaxon is delivering increased levels of business and lower acquisition costs to its partners and with the membership base continuing to grow, the benefits are multiplying. We are always looking for more partners to join the community and become a part of the Synaxon success story.
